25 Jan Mathew Rouge joins ESI’s Property Team in Cardiff
We are delighted to announce that Mathew Rouge has joined ESI, now part of Stantec, as a Principal Consultant in our Property team.
With over 17 years’ experience spanning work in the contaminated land, geotechnical and civil engineering sectors, Mathew has significant knowledge in the investigation, assessment and regeneration of brownfield sites across the UK.
A Chartered Geologist and a Specialist in Land Condition (SiLC), he is well versed in the technical, legislative, regulatory, and health and safety requirements of contaminated land investigation and assessment. Mathew also has extensive knowledge in the quantitative assessment of risk presented to human health and controlled waters from contaminated land and has been involved in industry-wide initiatives and prepared technical guidance for in-house use.
Mathew is also experienced in the field of engineering geology having worked on many earthworks projects for property development and infrastructure.
In his previous roles, Mathew has been involved in some of the UK’s largest regeneration and infrastructure projects, including the London 2012 Olympic Park reclamation scheme and acting as site manager for several ground investigation packages for the HS2 rail scheme.
Mathew will be based in our Cardiff office, where he will provide technical guidance and support the coordination of the property team’s activities.
